San Francisco Mission District Murals

I have a flickr! http://www.flickr.com/photos/swabreen/
Go check it out and add me, friend me or whatever it is you do on flickr, I'm a lonely n00b :/

I have all these great photos sitting in my hard drives doing nothing so I figured I should um upload them somewhere. I have this whole backlog of photos that I need to post here, starting with these beautiful pics that I took in the Mission District when I visited San Francisco last summer. There's this famous alley in the Mission District that's covered in beautiful Mexican Art Murals, well most of them are Mexican Art-ish they're a few exceptions but its all really cool, vibrant and bright.

One of my favs! This is on a street on the way to the famous mural alley.

This is at the beginning of the alley, it was such a perfect day to take pics *-*

Doggies, snakes and child birth! awesome lol

The aforementioned alley, if you're ever in SF I highly recommend going. You can take the subway and its like a 10 min or so walk from there.

I love the style in which the artist rendered the heart

The robot is made out of buildings! Ahah so awesome, this style of art is so West Coast no?

Taken midway through the alley *-*

One of my favs, this was my desktop wallpaper for a while

LOL @ my parents back there being tourists

I love the clothes line, its the green way to dry your clothes! Also I like how the mural is talking about recycling and such.

"How does one draw the face of greed?" how does one indeed, this skully dude looks more like death than greed

Fuego! The people in this one have such emotive faces huh?

This one has famous Mexican actors and actresses from bygone eras

J's homegirl! \m/

These photos are incredible! Great colors. And this is random but I have an insatiable thirst for Mexican art right now - especially of the religious relic variety.
