I've been wondering this for a while, maybe some of you know the answer, like what do VK vocalists do in their spare time? You know like guitarists maybe practice some 6 hours a day or whatever to hone their craft, but do those shitty vocalists go and take vocal lessons or something? I ask because some of these dudes have been in bands like 5+ years and they still sound like shit and tone deaf. Or now it seems they do the growl thing but when they attempt to sing a melody they sound horrible and I mean like why doesn't anyone do something about it? Are they so bad Protools can't save them? I mean if Protools can make J.Lo sound good I'm sure it can help VK vocalists haahaaa.

I mean a lot legendary VK vocalists started out bad BUT through the years you could definitely hear the improvement, just listen to any old school Luna Sea and Buck Tick and compare RK and Atsushi's vocals in their later albums. There's a progression and improvement there, I feel as if that isn't happening now.

Dude so on random non-JP music interests, my mom bought the new Gwen Stefani album and she played it in the car and at first I was like OMG DO NOT WANT! but then everything on there that wasn't a horrible single is actually really catchy >.>;; Why'd she release that yodeling version of Wind it Up when the Neptunes Mix of it is sooo GOOD??? DD: WTFWTFWTF Gwen? Anyway its like one of those albums that's too electronic for American audiences hahaa must explain those lame singles. The Sweet Escape makes me wanna kill bunnies but, Now that you Got It, Yummy and Dont get it Twisted are all really fun XD I bet this album did really good in like Europe haha.

This morning I was watching MTV Tres! And this video for this dude called Notch came on ad I was like lul wut Latino Usher? haha anyway I thought his voice was really cool BUT then Ozomatli came on and blew my mind! I need to get their album, this song is amazing. The pv reminds me of old school Molotov's El Carnal de las Estrellas pv, it just has a distinct kind of style. good news guys! i ordered a new ipod and it arrived today! its tiny and precious and blueeeeeeeeeee. i got one of those teeny weeny ipod shuffles, i'm glad it comes with the clipon feature because otherwise i'd put that in my bag and never find it again! hahaha ♥ ♥ the 20 min walk to work was just way too boring without music ;A;

I've been obsessed with listening to Luna Sea these mornings, they're like chicken soup for my souul hahahaaa. I put in Shine last night actually, I think I underrate that album too much, its so good @.@ I just don't have as much of a connection to it as Mother and Style because those albums were with me since highschool days haha.

oh yah anyway i was talking with this person over at the mucc community and we were discussing the possibility of MUCC getting signed to a US label for distribution like Dir en grey did with Warcon, and it got me thinking about US label reps being at this j-rev thing and wondering how that would work out. I mean Dir en grey had a hard time with the american non-fans at shows and they look completely normal, i have no idea how some of these visual kei bands would get perceived would they perform to a regular nonjrock crowd @.@; But hm yah i wonder if the bands are just doing a showcase or is it something that can grant them the opportunity for US distribution if some label rep decides he/she can make some money off of them.

Yoshiki seriously? STFU!!!!! all of those band have had overseas support for a LONG TIME w/o his involvement! douche! this isn't a fucking revolution! those bands have had plent of success w/o him. and who keeps booking Duel Jewel? SRSLY!
I wish this had been announced a few months prior, preparing for it now financially is just too hectic! I'd like to go to see MUCC but I just don't know!

oh dude i've been caught by THE MAN!!! and by the man I mean some Japanese TV exec with a crusade against youtube!! Alas I've joined the ranks of ppl with videos pulled from youtube :x Two Luna Sea ones too ._.; I hope a lot more of the LS tv appearances don't get pulled because they're so...wonderful and lawlz and way to ruin everything JP TV Execs!!! Although you know I bet if they could get some revenue from these vids they probably wouldn't care if they're on youtube haha. Its kind of weird you know, Youtube generates so much money from all those copyrighted clips people put up there and the users and the corps don't get anything o.O; NBC and some other companies are starting their own version of youtube or something but it won't be for "user generated" content, it's where they'll host clips from their own tv shows and what not.

Anyway yesterday I popped in Dir's Osaka Jo Hall live and then I got bored after like 2 songs hahahaa. Seriously I don't understand the Gauze worshipping part of the fandom has but anyway, it was kind of weird to see Kaoru, Toshiya and Die being the more dynamic and energetic performers on stage. Kyo was a seed just planted, his uber crazy and intense ~fiya~ hadn't blossomed yet and it wouldn't for a few more years haahha. He was actually...quite boring to watch ahha but now it's total role reversal isn't it? Toshiya is still fun but no where near as hyper as back in the day when he doned his mini pleated skirts and opened ruffled shirts showing off 6 pack abs LOLOLOL. What ever happened to that? Is Kyo the only one allowed to be shirtless anymore? hahahaa.

So what's going on with this summer tour? The fandom seems kind of what's the word...disinterested? They don't seem to be as hyped up about it as with the winter tour but then again a headlining tour would have been more awesome @.@;
